This one is a mixed bag. I love Jamie Hawke, but I wasn’t a fan if this one. While the world is kinda cool, it’s marred by its characters. Jay, our MC can’t stop being horny for 5 seconds, making him a useless ball of incompetence. And pretty much all the female personalities are repulsive. In fact I cant really find one likable person in this book, maybe the aunt (present).But what hurts this the most is the tone. It reads pretty much like a PG-13 Netflix movie, until bam graphics sex. It’s really tone deaf.Like I said the overall story is really interesting and I’d love to see where it goes, but I think the characters need to be fleshed out more.
I enjoyed this first book of the series and can’t wait to see where it goes. Really enjoyable book to read.
This was a fun game read. A bit different, a bit funny and a bit exciting. A slightly different twist to hero stories. The characters are filling out nicely by the end of the story and getting a bit more background helps too. I as kind if adrift a bit at first feeling almost as lost as Jericho. Looking forward to see what comes next.
A great action heavy story, with erotic twists and turns. The humor is fun and the action keeps you turning the pages!
Somewhat confusing hence the four stars the time travel thing was a bit hard to follow but other than that it’s a good book. More or the m c ‘s back story may explain a lot , regardless book two can’t get here fast enough
